Emergency Food Appeal
Civil conflict, war, famine and drought have left millions of people in the Middle East and Africa facing death by starvation.
Currently we’re trying to provide emergency food aid to families in Syria, Iraq (Mosul), Yemen and Somalia. We have the ability to deliver but we urgently need your help to make this possible.
We can provide an emergency food pack to last a family for up to a month for only £50, so please donate now.
Syria – Millions of Syrians have fled their homeland to seek refuge in neighbouring countries, while millions more are stranded in Syria with little or no food or water. The conflict in Syria has been raging for 6 years now. The infrastructure of the country has been battered and people who once lived comfortable lives now desperately pick breadcrumbs off the floor to feed themselves and their families.
Somalia – The East African country has suffered 20 years of civil war and regular seasons of drought. However the current famine conditions have been extremely harsh. Thousands of people have been walking across the country in search of food and water. Mothers have been pushed to desperation and forced to choose between which of their children they feed due to a lack of food.
Mosul, Iraq – Over 260,000 people have been displaced in the last 6 months of the civil conflict. Currently more than 200,000 people are in urgent need of food supplies.
Yemen – Due to conflict and war, close to 19 million people in Yemen are in need of food aid and water - that’s nearly 70% of the population. We must respond now.
Thanks to the support of our field offices and our partners, we’re able to provide a family with a food pack which will last a month for only £50. Please donate as many food packs as you can now.
