Sahara Desert Trek with Islamic Help
Though our core focus is donating our time to provide aid and support to less fortunate countries and communities, we also like to enlist new challenges that really push us to our limits. As such, our Sahara Desert Trek is just the thing for willing volunteers who want to make a difference whilst getting involved in a life-changing experience.
Set to be held between 11th and 18th April 2015, we encourage our brothers to sign up and join the team here at Islamic Help on our trek into the largest desert in the world. Rest assured though, you will be well provided for throughout!
Not only will the trek prove to be an eye-opening experience for those who are eager to join us, it is all for a good cause. The registration fee is only £250, and we have a fundraising target in place of £2000, something we are keen to reach and exceed.
The money raised will go towards our orphan sponsorship programme; a project designed to support orphans in different areas of their lives including education, healthcare and psychological development.
During the trek, you will be led by specialist tour guides to discover the Sahara Desert’s history and will also have an opportunity to soak in the desert’s beauty as you begin your journey. The trek itself will consist of at least five hours of walking every day, however; you will have the option to complete part of the journey by camel too.
Before you sign up for this event, please read through our information pack for all the details you may require in terms of what to do before the event and what you will be doing during the event.
So, #ChallengePoverty by getting involved and encouraging brothers to join us in our Sahara Desert Trek. Sign up today to join a good cause with even better outcomes.
Alternatively, if you feel as though this event isn’t for you, you can still show your support by sponsoring an orphan; full details can be found on our site.
