The Children of Our Future
We all like to plan ahead and schedule what we are doing the next day, don’t we? Not to mention the following month, and what holidays we are booking for next year…
But, let’s spare a minute and take a look at the bigger picture.
A human being’s early years have a major influence on how they shape out for the rest of their life; their personality, intelligence, character and confidence.
The human brain absorbs more information between its newborn stage and the age of three than it does at any point in the rest of its lifetime. This is what is known as the sponge period; where the brain absorbs information like a sponge.
The children of today shape the future of tomorrow; that is why children are so important. A parent’s biggest concern is how their child will turn out to be, whether they will be intelligent or active enough to make a big difference in the world. But what if that child has no parents left? Who helps them grow and develop?
Universal Children’s Day is on 20th November 2015. Let’s mark this day as an important one and do our bit for tomorrow’s world; for our children, for our grandchildren and for years and years to come.
Sponsor an orphan, and not only will you sponsor a child’s development today, but you’ll also help shape tomorrow’s future; the one in which your own children will exist. Together, we can give these children something to look forward to in life, we can plant the desire and ambition in them to flourish and succeed, and help them believe in their own abilities.
Islamic Help’s child sponsorship programme not only caters to the nutritional needs of a child but also towards their education and development, giving them the physical and emotional support they need to succeed and become leaders in their community. Adequate health care, along with a family and shelter are all factors that contribute towards a child’s development.
Islamic Help already supports over 2500 orphans at present. With your help, this number can increase significantly. This figure is nowhere compared to the 750 under-5s that died every hour around the world in 2012.
Yes! 750 per hour from poor nutrition and lack of amenities!
Has reality hit yet? Let’s get real then. Sponsor an Orphan today with Islamic Help and be part of tomorrow.
