Volunteer Appreciation Month - How You Can Help
How You Can Help
So, Volunteer Appreciation Month is drawing to a close, but we’d like to take just one more opportunity to inform our readers of how they can help. Of course, you can sign up to become part of our devoted volunteer team, but there are other ways you can donate your time to a good cause.
Below we have suggested just two ways you can get involved with the work www.islamichelp.org.uk are carrying out.
Events
Islamic Help hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Not only do we love to see people getting involved and donating their time, but we also love seeing how our campaigns progress. With the help of events, like our upcoming Snowdon Climb, we can raise awareness and funds for our operations. So be sure to keep an eye out for any events you think you may be able to get involved in. Alternatively, look for campaigns you’d like to support by raising funds yourself, which brings us to our next point.
Fundraising
At Islamic Help, we offer people the opportunity to host fundraising events of their own through our programme known as iHelp Give. Not only does this programme offer them the chance to run their own event, such as performing a skydive, or something a little less bold if you’re not a thrill-seeker; it also encourages people to raise awareness for a good cause, as well as donate their time. Whether you raise £10 or £1000, your financial contribution and your time will all help towards developing and growing our campaigns, as well as supporting those less fortunate than ourselves.
These are just two ways you can support Islamic Help. Of course, there are so many other ways to do so; whether you donate to one of our campaigns, such as our Gaza Emergency Appeal or you decide you want to become a volunteer. Feel free to browse our site for more information.
As a final word, we here at Islamic Help would like to say a big thank you to our volunteers and the work they have carried out since the programme begun. Additionally, we look forward to seeing our team grow and continue to change the lives of those in developing countries and those less fortunate.
